What does your job entail?
⛳️ Simply put, my job currently is to make the member & guest experience at Queenstown Harbor as enjoyable as possible. The day to day aspects can vary drastically depending on what we have going on that day. We are a very busy 37-hole club so unless we have snow on the ground, the average day at QH is full of excitement! In any given day I could be teaching a lesson or clinic or working behind the counter, answering phones and keeping the shop looking tidy and stocked with merchandise, or helping with tournaments (clinic or demonstration on the range, scoring, set up, clean-up) or everything all at once, among anything else that pops up. Everyday can be different and keeps me on my toes. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to work at QH!
What have you gained from working at TBC?
🏌🏻 Queenstown Harbor was the start of my Golf Professional career after graduating from Methodist University. I completed my Class A PGA Certification here, found some great mentors here, who have shown me not only how to be a great golf pro but also a great employee. I found my love for teaching at Queenstown Harbor and I’m thankful that I was able to come back and pursue it even further. Aside from that - I’ve met some great lifelong friends here, both in coworkers and members/regulars, I met my wife here, and I continue to learn invaluable knowledge that helps me continue to grow as a golf instructor/coach.

Tell us about your family:
👶 Spencer and his wife met at QH in 2015. They adopted their dog A.Palmer in 2016 and have been married for almost 4 years. Spencer just welcomed his first son (the first Queenstown Harbor Baby) with his wife, Bri on June, 28, 2024.
What do you do when not at work?
🐕🦺 When I’m not at work I’m usually studying golf swings – but I also enjoy time with my family. You can typically find us on trails by the water with Palmer or on the boat and now getting as much sleep as possible in between diaper changes.

🍽️ The slowest eater on the planet (according to my wife)

🧑🧑🧒 My Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, my family, Golf, UNC TarHeels Basketball & almost any sporting event

🍨 Peanut Butter with chocolate
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
⛳️ Be a Caddy for Arnold Palmer, Bobby Jones or Seve Ballesteros!

🏌🏼♂️Play the Old Course (realistic) or play Augusta National.
